These are the perfect spicy little bite-size meatballs for entertaining! Would be delicious stuffed in a pita for a sandwich or with a side of rice and salad for a meal.
Makes approximately 20 meatballs.
We served on mini pitas with extra harissa and garlic yogurt sauce!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground lamb
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tbs chopped fresh mint
2 tbs chopped fresh parsley
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 heaping tbs PUR Spices Mint Harissa
Meatball Method:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large bowl combine all ingredients
Mix with hands until thoroughly combined
Shape meat into 1-1.5 inch balls and place on baking sheet
Bake for about 20 minutes until firm and cooked through
Turn on broiler, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes about 6 inches under broiler, until meatballs are golden brown
Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
Mix 1 cup plain Greek yogurt with a clove of garlic that has been grated finely. Add salt and lemon juice to taste. Top with dried mint.
