Mint Harissa Lamb Meatballs

These are the perfect spicy little bite-size meatballs for entertaining! Would be delicious stuffed in a pita for a sandwich or with a side of rice and salad for a meal.

Makes approximately 20 meatballs.

We served on mini pitas with extra harissa and garlic yogurt sauce!


  • 1 lb ground lamb

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped

  • 2 tbs chopped fresh mint

  • 2 tbs chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Meatball Method:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  • In a large bowl combine all ingredients

  • Mix with hands until thoroughly combined

  • Shape meat into 1-1.5 inch balls and place on baking sheet

  • Bake for about 20 minutes until firm and cooked through

  • Turn on broiler, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes about 6 inches under broiler, until meatballs are golden brown

Garlic Yogurt Sauce:

  • Mix 1 cup plain Greek yogurt with a clove of garlic that has been grated finely. Add salt and lemon juice to taste. Top with dried mint.
