A flavorful twist on a classic French onion dip! Pair this dip with masala roasted potatoes, roasted cauliflower, paneer sticks, carrots, bell peppers, or potato chips!
2 medium onions, chopped
1 ½-2 tbsp butter
1 tsp water, optional
2 tbsp Masala Paste
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup sour cream
On low heat, cook onions with butter until caramelized, approximately 25-30 minutes. Stir onions frequently to avoid burning. If they begin to stick to the pan, add 1 tsp water.
Once onions have caramelized, add 2 tbsp masala paste. Stir well to incorporate.
Remove onions from heat and cool the mixture completely.
Once cooled, add 1 cup plain yogurt and 1 cup sour cream to the onion mixture.
Add salt & pepper to taste and chopped cilantro.
This mouth-watering dip is now ready to be served!
