Masala Onion Dip

A flavorful twist on a classic French onion dip! Pair this dip with masala roasted potatoes, roasted cauliflower, paneer sticks, carrots, bell peppers, or potato chips!




Ingredients:

  • 2 medium onions, chopped

  • 1 ½-2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp water, optional

  • 2 tbsp Masala Paste

  • 1 cup plain yogurt

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • Cilantro, chopped

Method:

  • On low heat, cook onions with butter until caramelized, approximately 25-30 minutes. Stir onions frequently to avoid burning. If they begin to stick to the pan, add 1 tsp water.

  • Once onions have caramelized, add 2 tbsp masala paste. Stir well to incorporate.

  • Remove onions from heat and cool the mixture completely.

  • Once cooled, add 1 cup plain yogurt and 1 cup sour cream to the onion mixture.

  • Add salt & pepper to taste and chopped cilantro.

This mouth-watering dip is now ready to be served!
